Personal Background
I am currently a Pre-Doctoral student in the Accounting Division at Columbia Business School. Before joining this position, I earned my Master’s degree from the Cambridge MPhil in Finance program, a research-oriented master’s program with 20-25 students in each cohort. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in Finance from the University of Alberta Business School in Canada. I am now committed to accounting research, specifically the real effects of financial and other types of disclosure, asset pricing with an attention and behavioral focus, and corporate governance.
My coding skills were primarily developed during a data science class and through self-learning. I am proficient in Python and R, and I am currently learning JavaScript and C++ for performance-demanding projects. A significant hobby of mine is studying and utilizing all the trending AI tools available, though I am always with a hope that they won’t replace Accounting Researchers.
This website will share some basic accounting databases and my research, with the hope of aiding anyone who needs it.
